Lamar University Women’s Soccer program is offering three, 60 minute sessions to all high school age players on the college recruiting process.  The focus of these meetings is to explain how the college recruiting process works at all of the college levels; Division I, II, III, NAIA and Junior Colleges.


Session 1: College Recruiting 101
- How do you get yourself noticed as a college prospect?
- When should you start the process?
- What is the difference between divisions?
- What should you be doing and when, so that the process keeps moving forward?

Learn How To:
- Write an initial letter
- Produce a Profile Sheet


Session 2: Scholarships, When, how, and what are they
- What is an Athletic Scholarship?
- Levels of Scholarships available at the various college levels
- New legislation


Session 3: Evaluation
- Question and Answer session with a panel of current Division I Student-Athletes
- Evaluation of initial letters to coaches
