It's very confusing, but I can tell you that Yates has more students than Wheatley, yet Wheatley will remain in 4A...Yates has a magnet school population, the school of communications, and honestly I dj not sure HOW or IF they counted that population of kids...I was told how it went down, but who knows....As of now, Yates is going to be 3A next year...as of now...next week? Who knows!  ;D

The deadline was yesterday.  Yes, I know that was a Sunday. I don't make the deadlines, I just post 'em.

Evidently Wheatley has more problems than knowing how to count students....they don't even know who their students are..

Nor was my comment towards you.  It just struck me weird that the UIL, with a calender in front of it, would choose a Sunday to place a deadline.

Baically,  they played a player that wasn't even one of their students in those games.  I forgot exactly what DV called the school he attended but it wasn't a regular high school so to speak and it wasn't part of Wheatley.

A player was moved to varsity that did not attend Wheatley, but attended a nearby Charter School..He was moved to varsity 5 games ago...He was a 9th grader and they found out when he tried to legally enroll into the school the other day...No I am not kidding... :o....In HISD there are three schools that do not offer athletics...and if a student attends one of those schools he may play sports at his ZONED school...THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO CHARTER SCHOOL STUDENTS... ::) ::) ::)...They are going to discuss the coach's fate in the morning at a meeting..Forfeiting those 5 games puts them in 4th place and gets them a first round meeting with Yates....yes...Yates.

Wheatley's JV basically lives in another school zone and a certain middle school in (South Park) coach brought[s] all [/s] most of his players with him and enrolled them in a Charter school. They all play on a certain lower level AAU team out of Houston. You know how it is, they're just trying to keep them all together in hopes of growing into a dynasty. It sucks doesn't it?

Thats what they are meeting about this morning..He knew good and well what was going on...How can you NOT know? HISD has fired one coach last week for playing ineligible kids...Guess we will see what happens here, but I know the AD in HISD is not playing ANY games! ;)
