AshlyHasBeen Posted February 12, 2012 Report Posted February 12, 2012 Good Tournament at Vincent-Beck to start the season. puddin tane Posted February 13, 2012 Report Posted February 13, 2012 toooooooo cold for baseball! surprising number of southern schools---usually get the teams, (like illinois) that still have snow on the ground, to fly south in february
puddin tane Posted February 13, 2012 Report Posted February 13, 2012 just looked..warmer in spokane and portland than the big B...illinois? not so much--think they got snowed on today
AshlyHasBeen Posted February 14, 2012 Author Report Posted February 14, 2012 The weather in Jonesboro, AR and Portland, OR is pretty frigid for baseball. The only unusual team this weekend is SFA.
ForeverADog Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 I expect this to be our best showing of any tournament this season since it is our easiest. At least we won't play SFA in this tourney. It is weird to have 2 teams from the same conference in an early season tourney. Glad to see them though. Nederland ex Alex Moshier is their closer at SFA. Here is a cool video of their coach talking about him. They expect big things.http://sfajacks.cstv.com/sports/m-basebl/spec-rel/020912aac.html

AshlyHasBeen Posted February 15, 2012 Author Report Posted February 15, 2012 Was just in the low 30's a couple days ago with sleet and snow flurries at Arkansas State. It's 34 in Jonesboro right now. For baseball I would say that's frigid. Portland is 39.

Sportsman5 Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 I am ready for some lamar baseball, can't wait for the tourney next weekend.
puddin tane Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 dang this "drought"!outfielders gonna be wearing hip waders this keeps up
AshlyHasBeen Posted February 15, 2012 Author Report Posted February 15, 2012 I was on the field yesterday. Outfield is already bad so much so they haven't been practicing on it. Luckily the most important part of the field is turf. G says they should play just with some slipping and sliding in the the outfield.
ForeverADog Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 Schedule has been changed! Only 2 games each day now.
puddin tane Posted February 17, 2012 Report Posted February 17, 2012 krapola-----better close the roof!use restricted flight balls or anything hit to the outfield thats doesnt go over the fence, is an automatic out
ForeverADog Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 Lamar wins 2-1 over Arkansas State after the game was called in the top of the 9th. Sucks for Arkansas State since they had 2 men on when the game was called.

AggiesAreWe Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 Saturday's play a wash out. No games being played today and may not be any tomorrow.
NDFan09 Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 Lamar won today 10-2. Jeff Abt had 3 doubles and 4 rbi's. Very good showing today with good pitching, defense, and offense.
AshlyHasBeen Posted February 20, 2012 Author Report Posted February 20, 2012 Dziedzic went 6 scoreless innings giving up only 3 hits. This team is already more exciting than last year. The transfers look excited to play. Hope the attitude sticks around all year. Next up Gonzaga.
ForeverADog Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 Dziedzic just needs to keep his pitch count down. He has all the talent though.
