Spread around three playing sites and sponsored by East Texas Jet Support Services, the East Texas Playoff Preview should give fans a taste of the great playoff action they are set to enjoy in the coming weeks. Just the Tenaha site features ½ of last year’s Class A- Region III Regional Tournament, a top 10 program from Class A-II, three 3A powerhouses that include a one-loss Pleasant Grove, #5 Silsbee, and perennial playoff contender Pittsburg, and one of 2A’s most prolific programs in Frankston.Teams from classes 1A to 3A are slated to play here in Tenaha. Below is the rundown of matchups:3:00 Gary (1A-I) vs. West Sabine (1A DI)4:30 Pleasant Grove (3A) vs. Silsbee (3A)6:00 Grapeland (1A-I) vs. Wells (1A-II)7:30 Tenaha (1A-I) vs. Pittsburg (3A)Proceeds for this event are raised to provide scholarship opportunities to high school students. Admission prices are $7 for adults. No passes will be accepted.Tenaha ISD would like to also announce that in conjunction with this event, the Tiger Café will be open from 4:00-8:00PM. On the menu, will be Cajun Fried Catfish, Boiled Shrimp, or Chicken Fried Steak along with a Baked Potato or French Fries, coleslaw, and iced tea.
