stevenash Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 While the district title is a significant one, the more meaningful/significant title is still in the near future.

HJ and Silsbee, then Central and Nederland... I thought there was supposed to be just ONE champion of each district... ::) ::)..They must me too nice here in SE Texas with all of this SHARING!! We didn't share in Houston, did we Dove? STINGY district champions!! ;D ;D ;D
The democratic (for Nash) generation of doing things these days. No such thing winning outright anymore :(

I just think that the coach who is focused on the goal (like Sigler is) would be wise to avoid the team that can expose his team's biggest weakness for as long as possible. The job is not complete until you've won state... as least, that's what I would think if I were Sutherland or Sigler.

Those same principles, when applied to operating our country, are equally counter productive and produce no self reliance, laziness, and "I am a victim" syndrome not to mention our eventual bankruptcy if not corrected. You can't let the team that has not won a single game go to the playoffs in order to protect its "self esteem" or to be "fair".

Why would you want to play them just because they beat you last year. Try not to play them till you have to would be the smart move.
sleepy Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 Coach Sigler knows what he is doing. District Championships and number 1 seeds mean nothing to these two teams. One thing matters and we all know what that is.

BigDaddy00 Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 Not doubting his decision at all. Just think a Silsbee/Sealy rematch would be fun to watch
stevenash Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 still a possibility if they both go far enough
BigDaddy00 Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 That's true.. they would face off in the regional championship if they both make it there
bullets13 Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 i like the odds of one of them making it to the regional finals, but not both this year... too many good teams for them to have to go through.
stevenash Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 Does anybody have the draw that would show the potential/likely opponents for Silsbee and Hj in order for them to advance to Huntsville?
BigDaddy00 Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 Yeah im just curious to who silsbee would play if they were to beat Splendora

Some district have to play tie breakers this weekend. It will be more clear after Saturday.
lamar73! Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 Silsbee conceded their way around Ricky Seal Jones. He is nasty!

Silsbee will face Splendora and the winner of that game will get Brookshire Royal in the 2nd Round.
