Silsbee conceded their way around Ricky Seal Jones. He is nasty!

Yes right into a Brookshire Royal team that has two '6"6 post players and swept Jones' Sealy team in district by scores of 101-81 and 86-70. ;) ::)

The concession had more to do with Silsbee wanting to lineup a particular warm up opponent and prepare them for some match up problems than the route thru the brackets.

You know, on another note, I've been amazed at Hardin Jefferson's consistency this year.  What do I mean?  Well, look at the scores of the teams that they have played more than once, but more importantly, look at the repeatability of those deficits against the same team.

Little Cypress-Mauriceville, 55-34  (21)
Little Cypress-Mauriceville, 59-47  (12)
Little Cypress-Mauriceville, 75-37  (38)
Little Cypress-Mauriceville, 52-38  (24)

Hamshire-Fannett, 74-41    (33)
Hamshire-Fannett, 84-53*  (31)
Hamshire-Fannett, 82-48*  (34)

Silsbee, 56-59*  (-3)
Silsbee, 79-74*      (5)

Orangefield, 74-29*  (45)
Orangefield, 75-39*  (36)

West Orange-Stark, 77-45*  (32)
West Orange-Stark, 76-48*  (28)

Feb. 10 - at Bridge City, 78-43*  (35)
Jan. 24 - Bridge City, 82-46*  (38)

Other than Little Cypress Mauriceville, these margins have been rather consistent, in my opinion.  I think this says something about how well they are prepared for each game.

HJ will be fine against Sealy. Brookshire Royal beat them by 20 at home and 16 at Sealy. If Royal is 18 points better than Sealy, then Sealy should not be much of a threat. Sounds like the big kid carries them in most games. He had 38 and 36 in both losses to Royal. You average 37 against a good team and lose, that shows you don't have much help, IMO.
My goodness, if you score 38 points against those Twin Towers from BR and you gotta wonder if those two guys are any good. I'm liking Silsbee's chances against those guys if that is the case.

Now lets discuss HJ's schedule. Now thats a whole different subject matter separate from the running. I mean, why get in shape :o  ;D ;D
It's already established how inferior HJs schedule was.  Maybe that staff will learn some day how to handle the schedule.  They need to read this board more often.

Perhaps it is their goal in the pre season to play teams with similar intellect and athletic ability... ::)

The record(s) suggest that their approach is a productive one and there is no way to spin it otherwise.

Before your "glorious" return to this board, there were several experts(self perceived, of course) that voiced multiple complaints about how the inferior schedule of HJ as compared to other area notables would be a detriment.  HJs record against those notables says that claim had no credibility in the least.

Ohhh, I see..perhaps my "glorious" return should have come earlier, so that me, in my infinite wisdom, could have refuted those claims about HJ's "soft as wet tissue paper" schedule in the pre-district... 8)
