Ok, it's finally settled.

21-3A play in games:

WOS vs. Orangefield, Friday night, 7pm  PNG

winner vs. Hamshire-Fannett, Saturday 3pm  PNG
We think so, anyway! ;D
Why would HF agree to play the winner on the same floor/rims that they played on the day before? Almost like playing a team on its home floor.....they at least have a one-game practice on the floor.
Maybe its to offset the fact that HF gets to sit on their tushes and watch the game Friday night, instead of running up and down the court all night long!
Although that may be true, the fact that you only have to win one game, whereas the other two teams have to win two games to make the play-offs.......  That's a big advantage.

But on a side-note.  Condition-wise, they may be able to play two games in 24 hours, but what if the Friday night game is a double overtime nail-biter?  How will the winner of that game be able to get up for a Saturday afternoon game?

I have recent personal experience/exposure to this situation and I can tell you that the team that won it all won 2 games back to back.
And I've been around long enough to know that this is not the way it always happens.

We have no clue what is to happen, but in my opinion, HF will have the decided edge, should OF and WOS have a nailbiter game.

I simply said I had been involved in  one of those exact situations lately and that a team did, in fact, win back to back games.  No inference was made, by any stretch of the imagination, that this was the "rule" or the "exception to the rule".
And just how many of these players have ever been in a play-off game????  Let alone, been a winner in a play-off game???

There are two wild cards that have just been added to this mix.  One of these 3 teams is going to step up!  Orangefield won the last game against both the other teams. Are they going to prove it was no fluke, or will the real play-off team play-off team please stand up! Hmmm....... ???

I am astounded by your soothsaying abilities. (except, of course, for the Longhorn 2012 state championship)

Total shocker 3 Rd place in this district is going to be close , you heard it from dove first, words of wisdom
About time you give me some credit. And while you're at it, remember I came on here praising HF's playoff potential 3-4 years ago. Where were you? ;)

i hope they do make the playoffs , but 4-6 and tied for 3rd with 2 other teams in a 6 team district does not make for a bb powerhouse , now if several players did not bolt to other schools , they might have made a serious playoff run, but we all know when people QUIT for greener pastures what happens
Be that as it may, but when you consider that 4 of those losses were against the 4th and the 5th ranked teams in the State.  Take those out and you are rolling with a 4-2 record.

On that note, you gotta give Orangefield kudos for turning a 1-4 first half district record into a 3-2 second half record.  That's a pretty good turnaround!
