BMTSoulja1 Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 Ozen dropped their first 2 games to WB and Memorial without Trey. He came back against a horrible 5a Sam Houston team and that Ozen team put up 60+ points with Trey having huge numbers. Although Trey was still not looking like himself early in district, he was still an impact. Around the middle and end of district, Ozen picked up steam, coinciding with Trey's getting all the way healthy, which may be the direct reason for the deep playoff run.
bronco pride Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 ozens defense is why they went past the second round not trey. They only scored 20 pts total in their last 2 games so I wouldnt say his impact was that great. Also ozen was 5-5 in the regular season with 3 of their wins by 7 or less and one of the 5 wins was against lumberton who didnt win a game.

There is a reason for that. Both have Very VERY good defenses. They put up big numbers on our reigning district champs and other teams. BTW, Lumberton did win a game in district.

stevenash Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 If you keep discussing football results on a basketball board, the police are going to get after you.
BMTSoulja1 Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 You're right. BTW, how did Ozen/Green get pulled into a conversation about Nederland vs. Dayton? Just asking. I may be able to add something to this.
liltex Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 I'll be there rooting on the Broncos tonight, good luck purple 8)
ForeverADog Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 Soulja, it got started when some people questioned whether Dayton (or any 4th place team) deserved to even be in the playoffs.

They were playing good ball, ran into a snag in district, but pulled it together to get in. I think they are capable of playing good ball again, but their hopes will be grim against this Nederland team.
liltex Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 Dayton has a chance if they play like they did against Crosby lately.

I think some of yall actually had brooms over there on the PNG side... But i'm sure those brooms came into good use for all the crow that was laying around... ;D ;D Now I hope Dayton beats the poop out of Nederland... GO BRONCOS!
BLUEDOVE3 Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 Yall better go overseas and look for Henry Dugat ;)

cooligan Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 Let's be realistic. Dayton doesn't have a prayer. Coach E has soooooooooo much confidence he isn't even going to start his regular 5. I know one town that needs to stick to football. :P

If not, it could be a long ride back to Nederland... ;)

cooligan Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 Hey, I'm not making the decision, I'm just reporting the news..........The starters will not be the regular 5 tonight. You heard it here first from THE BULLDOG NETWORK. Let's go DOGS! ;)
DogFan3 Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 There is only gonna be one new starter tonight and it is only for disciplinary reasons......... The regular starter will play just not start........
cooligan Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 DogFan3 you just ain't no fun. I'm trying to fill the arena with wonder and you are letting the cat, or should I say dog, out of the bag.
