Texas A&M Aggie Baseball 2012 (41-14, 16-8)

The Ags had been on a slide lately losing 4 out of the last 5 gamesafter a hot start.  They took 2 of 3 games against K-State last weekend, and hopefully figured some things out.

A&M plays tonight ay Houston(barring weather) then has a 3 game non conference series at Pepperdine this weekend.

Nice 3 game sweep at Pepperdine.  The Ags have Houston Baptist midweek then get back to conference play with a 3 game series at home vs Missouri

Its parent weekend this weekend so if any golden triangle fans wanted to come watch a game, i'd wait foe another one.. All the games are sold out already i think and general admission will be hard to come by i believe. Just trying to say y'all some gas..

Exactly what I figured.  We thought about heading over to see the offspring but was worried they would sell out.  Think I'll stay home and watch my Lamar Cardinals!!!

Aggies take 2 of 3 against Mizzou

Gm 1: A&M 8-6
Gm 2: Mizzou 4-3 (A&M had tying run thrown out at plate to end game)
Gm 3: A&M 7-6 (A&M blew 6-1 lead in the 9th only to win in their last at bat.)

Host UTSA Tuesday then OU over the weekend.

Aggies took the first game against OU last in 12 innings to win 4-3.

A&M lost the 3rd game by a score of 5-3 and are now (28-8, 9-3)

A&M has four big games this week. Tuesday verses Rice and a weekend series verses Baylor. I plan on going to most of the games will be fun to watch hopefully.

#12 Rice scored 1 in the 8th and 1 in the 9th to beat #4 Texas A&M tonight.


The Ags have a big series against 1st placed Baylor this weekend.

The final was 5-4. Aggies starting pitcher didn't even record an out. Let up a single than walked three straight batters. Ags responded with 4 in the fourth but never could score again. They ended the game with the 2 and 3 hole hitters watching the third strike be called. Childress was tossed again in about the fourth inning arguing whether a rice player was hit, IMO the ump tossed him a little early into the argument but that's irrelevant i suppose. The ags better pull together some timely hitting as we have a big weekend series with the Baylor Bears.

The aggies had two pitchers this weekend record there 300th career strike-outs for the team. Micheal Wacha did it on friday in a 4-2 win, while Ross Stripling earned his in a 7-2 victory today. The aggies go for the sweep tomorrow over the Texas Tech Raiders.

Ross Stripling with a No-hitter against San Diego St.!!  He needed every bit of that performance to get the 1-0 victory.

He allowed 1 walk, but then erased that with a DP to face the minimum 27 batters in the game.

He is still on the roster, but does not have any appearances this year.  They have him listed as a RS Jr so I guess he still has another year.  I know he has had arm problems in the past, but i'm not sure if he is healthy or not.  His freshman year he threw pretty well, but has been battling injuries every since.

Nice 3 game sweep of Ok St this weekend to clinch solo 2nd place in conference.  The Ags are on the verge of a National Seed and need a good showing in the Big 12 tourney to secure a top 8 spot.
