Tough second round matches for all area teams.  It will be a challenge for the Tigers but their quickness, aggressiveness, confidence, and most importantly pressure "D" will wear down Royal.  Tigers will take this one.

Royal is the real deal, but I saw Silsbee beat a team like them earlier this year (HCYA). Royal is much quicker than HCYA, but I don't think they will be able to match Silsbee's speed. The height issue will be a factor which will keep Royal in the game. Stay out of foul trouble and Silsbee will win by 7.

Silsbee has to a lot of 3pt to beat them. Your not going to get a lot turnovers if you try press them. They love to play uptempo

Royal is going to be a tough one for the Tigers,  but i doubt they have seen a press or defense as intense as they will see friday.

I heard from someone rather knowledgeable on this topic and he informed me that many teams are afraid to press a team like Brookshire Royal because they are "so good".  When they get to the play-offs and face a press like Silsbee's (or HJ's), they are totally unprepared for it.

BR might be looking forward to running and gunning with Silsbee, but that will simply play into the Tiger's strong point.  Those big guys will be winded by the middle of the second quarter and will be a non factor in the second half if this happens.

good point, fan.  if Silsbee gets into foul trouble, or if BR finds a way to handle the press, Silsbee's season will probably end.  that being said, i think what you're saying will pan out, and the press will eventually overwhelm BR and wear them out.

29-4 means the press doesn't bother you! Brookshire is the best team in 3A the Tigers have faced since HJ. Silsbee BETTER bring their A game or we will be home Tuesday night rooting for HJ. If Aggie has their schedule, you will see that they have beat a lot of good teams. If Silsbee plans on winning, free throw shooting, 3pt shooting, and turnovers is the key.

They most likely are the best 3A team the Tigers faced besides HJ.  HJ handles the press pretty well themselves but what played a major factor in their only loss.....the Tiger's press!!
