High Island/ Evadale Baseball

I was just wondering how they are doing this year?  I do not get on the website much I was just trying to look for some scores? 

Is Mark Williams still the head coach at Evadale?

Don't know anything about High Island, but Evadale is a little down this year. And yes Mark Williams is still the head coach.

Grizz Thanks for the update. Sad if that is True about HI.  HI used to have good baseball????? Didnt they have a team that won a district title not to long ago?????

won a district title in 06.  As for this year only had 9 kids come out, then most of them failed out so no team this year.  it is getting lean down on the beach

Thanks I used to Coach in the area and saw them both play a while back always though Mark Williams was first class and HI had a good baseball team a few years ago, I knew HI had a young coach too.

The last time High Island could not field a baseball team was 1985.  Rick Carpenter (Outstanding Baseball Coach) left and went to La Marque.  New Coach came in and we lost a few players, then grades got a few others.  I was a Freshman and we played 1 game against Anahuac lost 10-0 (I made the only hit in that game) and then we had to cancel the rest of the season.  My Junior year, under new leadership, we lost the 1A State Championship game 10 - 7.  Sorry to hear the Cardinals are not fielding a team this year, but you never know what the future holds!
