sfajack10 Posted March 6, 2012 Report Posted March 6, 2012 What I saw against White Oak this team should be really good. I liked what I saw with JJ in the middle but Corey has a little more size but I didn't get to watch either of them the whole year so that is a coin flip.
KHSAlum400 Posted March 6, 2012 Report Posted March 6, 2012 You forgot about Xavier Barnes (#25). Solid post player. As good as Arnold is now, I still think he'll come off the bench at the start of the season to back up D. Harper, who will be a Senior next year.
KHSAlum400 Posted March 6, 2012 Report Posted March 6, 2012
I'd startD Harper J Harper mazbirdJj
That's a nice lineup! With Grayland, Corey Lowe, Xavier Barnes, and Dante McMahon coming off the bench. That's already 9 deep, not mentioning any JV players that will move up next year.

stevenash Posted March 26, 2012 Report Posted March 26, 2012 I expect Kountze to have a genuine powerhouse next year

A Lion at the high school level.

bball2011 Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 I watched Grayland play the other day and he is good maybe even great as a 8th grader, but he needs to work on his outside game. Those layups will be shut down at the Varsity level. He went about 1 for 10 from the field, If you think he will play in front of Darion I think you are mistaking, Darion is to quick and distributes the ball very well. He was the difference in the team last year in my opinion. They are also going to have to have someone step up and fill the shoe's on Lynn...High energy and easy baskets...Grayland might be able to start in front of Justin but then you take the best pure shooter off the court, Grayland will definitely get his playing time though...
whsalum Posted April 10, 2012 Report Posted April 10, 2012 Do you get to flip a coin these days and decide where you want to play ?? Kountze will be solid next year. Once again they will get their scoring from their defense. They will have to get better play on both ends of the floor from their big guys if they hope to get out of the region. They are going to be QUICK.
KHSAlum400 Posted April 10, 2012 Report Posted April 10, 2012 Move? Unless it's away from Southeast Texas, for what?
