BadMedicine Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 Lamar and Pat Knight are getting all kinds of love on ESPN. 6 - 0 after the "Rant", first trip to the Big Dance since 2000, and proud Pappa Bobby said he's been in basketball for almost 50 years and today is his proudest moment!
Lazeek Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 ESPN Bracket App has LU playing Norfolk State in a play in game. Winner to play UNC!!!!Really thought LU had a good enough season to avoid the play in game!!!
ndn2016 Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 It was a great game to see live. #33 was a beast in the paint, we think we counted 7 blocks. Devon Lamb is one of the funnest players I have ever watched. James, in spite of 3 cheap fouls and more time on the bench that normal scored 26 points. Miles laying it out on several occasions a very good team effort. LU crowd was pretty loud heard Dave Hofferth call the Merrrell center the Montagne west. Good job cards! go getta win or two in the tournament.

I thought play in games were for at large teams not for teams that have punched thier ticket to the Big Dance.
ndn2016 Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 Yeah that's what I was thinking too! Can one of you gurus enlighten us?
badndn Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 Nope a playin game can be anyone of the 68 teams. Of course the NCAA doesn't want them refered to as PLAYIN games, but we all know what those extra four teams were added for. And it weren't us low Majors!
ForeverADog Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 When the NCAA expanded to 68 teams it created 4 play in games. 2 are the worst 4 teams in the tournament and the winner will play a 1 seed. The other two games match the last 4 at large teams in the tournament. These are usually 12 or 13 seeds.
the wise one Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 Me and a buddy were talking about the last time lamer made the tournament when they played Duke and we couldn't remember who the guy from HJ who led lamer that night what was his name?
