Miller's enrollment of 910 put them in 3A but CCISD wanted all it's schools to stay in 4A so they had checked the box in the realignment of 2010 to opt up. Miller complained they could not compete at the 4A level anymore and wanted the "higher ups" at CCISD to allow them to drop down to 3A where their enrollment put them. They petitioned and won.Miller's enrollment for this past Feb. realignment will put them back in 4A starting in the fall. CCISD did some re-zoning which put more students in the Miller High school. Academics have improved there so the enrollment has increased.You cannot opt down in classification, but you can opt up.
