Chase Shugart - Bridge City
Grayson Padgett - Hardin Jefferson
Reyzeir Wilkins - Legacy Christian
Dalton Croft - Vidor
Shane Selman - Westbrook
Aaron Edelmon - Hardin Jefferson

Aidan Anderson , Grant Anderson, Chase Rutledge and Grant Lapoint who are all every  game starters for WOS. WOS is very young this season starting one senior and one junior.

C Ryan Newman- Brenham's starting catcher.  He has 2 HR's and an absolute cannon for anybody that wants to run while he's behind the dish.

3B Sam McElreath- A utility player on the Brenham bench.

How many of these players get regular playing time ..... Buna has 2 and I know Kountze has 2 that play

Newman is our starting catcher, and IMO, one of our best players.

I would assume that it is pretty rare for a freshman to start at Brenham.

that's what I was just thinking.... Either he is the real deal or Brenham is lacking at that position this year.

I read somewhere that the kid from brenham was the first freshman to catch on varsity for the at least the current coach

All three freshman on HJ Varsity are doing fine. All 3 start and are in the top 5 of all HJ's hitting catagories. Richardson was actually "Player of the week" last week, Padgett hit his first Varsity Homerun, and Edelmon's ERA after 12 innings pitched is a 2.9 with 13 K's. Of coures he has walked some too but he is only a freshman...The main thing is they are no longer "Freshman", they have been accepted by the upper-classmen as "teamates". Its really cool to see how much the HJ baseball program has improved this year. I see good things in their future.

The kid is legit!  He's 2nd on the team in HR's, and excellent at throwing guys out when they try to run on him.  No doubt, it means a lot to start as a freshman in this town.

This is easily the leader in the "dumbest and least informed" statement of the year award. You really believe the kid is 17? You ever think you may have him mixed up with the older Franklin on the Buna squad? Ethan is a true freshman who played select ball with 14 year olds last year and correct me if I'm wrong, they have to provide age documentation ( birth certificate ) to play. So unless he did some time traveling or skipped a few birthdays he is not 17.

You are exactly right rake1. Braden Franklin is 17. Ethan is a freshman. And yes he did play with 14 year olds last year. I'm not sure where Pocogrande is getting his facts, but its not from anyone who knows what's going on.
