What are the full qualification in becoming a high school basketball coach in the state of Texas?

You guys are correct.  I was thinking of the basketball position being tied into teaching.  But I don't see people like Wise having a full teaching load! LOL

And the statement of basketball knowledge and competency might help...really all depends on where you are applying.  I know some hut hut schools that want dumb basketball coaches.  Easier to run over.

Actually, the only state qualification is to be a full time employee of the respective school district. Degree or certification requirement is set by the individual school district. It is my understanding that the head coach of Kimball is not degreed or certified. However, most school districts want to hire someone who can be used in a teaching capacity as well.
