whsalum Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 I have been in bass boats for the past 35 years but I am considering a 22 ft center console for my retirement boat. I have found a really clean 2201 Mako. How durable are these boats and what kind of rough water ride can I expect ? Any feed back will be appreciated.
dustoff03 Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 I don't know much about mako's. I mainly bass fish. But 3 years ago I traded up to a Nitro Z9CDC(center dual console) bass boat. It is 21' but with the jack plate it's = to 22'. I'll never go back to a split console. It rides much better and plains out level without hardly any trim adj.It handles the rough waters very well. It has a 96" beam and seat 4 accross. not that i'll ever have 4 in the boat with me. but there is plenty of room.

They are and authorized Nitro dealer. I bought mine through the BassPro Shop in Pearland off 288.

It's probably a notch under the grady white, but a very good boat. I have a friend with a 22 foot center console. He runs twin 120 hp 4-strokes. He has hydraulic trim tabs and it rides very well in 2-3 seas. Good boat.
