Okay, I'm starting over with my boat search.  I'm now leaning more toward a bay boat.  I looked at the Nautic Star boats that Texas Marine has out at the fair right now... These seem like very nice boats.  Any thoughts you want to share on bay boat brands?  What to look for? What to avoid?  Dealers to avoid?  I'm thinking in the 18' range with a 90-115 hp

Those are very nice boats.  Can't go wrong.  Go with a boat retailer that's been around a long time.  Don't just look at the boat, crawl under the consoles, battery boxes, etc........  See how the thing is wired, including trailer.  Some boat manufactures send their boats empty to a dealer and they rig them.  A friend bought one from the dealer next to the Pampano Club and within 1-year I had to re-wire it.  Really bad work.

Test driving a Nautic Star 1810 from Texas Marine on Wednesday and if everything goes well I will be picking out a trolling motor and depth finder.  Hope to have it in the water next weekend.

Almost a week and no fish?

No fish  :( :( :( Only been on the water once and that was with my wife and boys for a couple hours.  Gearing up for some trips over the next few weeks.
