PhatMack19 Posted March 28, 2012 Report Posted March 28, 2012 Hope Magic knows what he is doing paying that much. According to all of the other bidders, the value was around $1.1-$1.2 bil. Seems like Magic's group WAY overpaid.George Steinbrenner bought the Yankees for $8.8 million in 1973.Arte Moreno bought the Angels for $180 mil in 2003 and has done a great job making them La's team. I'm just not sure how paying $2bil makes business sense.

MLB wants and needs a minority owner.

adminbaberuth Posted March 28, 2012 Author Report Posted March 28, 2012 Money is cheap right now. Reports say Dodgers have 4 Billion offer for TV rights on the table. Bet Magic would hit for my power than MJ, plus play a mean 1B.
