Oops!  Bellaire is an Independent School District unto themselves.  They have their own Board of Education, their own taxing structure and their own budget.  They are not part of HISD - just neighbors.

Dont worry about the Yates baseball program.  Whatever the deficiency is there, it will be more than compensated for with the swim program.

I would say after Football, that Baseball is second in Houston and Basketball would round out at 3.  Houston has always been big baseball.

No, sir....Basketball is THE sport in Houston....Baseball would be a DISTANT second, followed by football....Want proof of this fact? In the last 50 years, HISD has ZERO state championships in football, and ONE title game appearance in 1985 by guess who.....Yates HS....Bellaire baseball brought out lots of interest over the last 30 years when Coach Rocky Manuel took over...they had dominated the baseball scene for YEARS...BASKETBALL IS NOT THIRD IN HOUSTON.....NO WAY.
