Bamboo bat opinions

Just wondering if anyone out there has tried the bamboo bats, and if so, what is your opinion?

I know of players that have used them and they had no complaints. May not have as much "pop", but you really never know if it's the bat or the batter.

Not sure if they are legal in every league because they are made from a "compressed" material and are considered a composite bat.

The one made by Louisville Slugger is legal according to umps. My son uses them and he feels they pop as good as bbcore. His opinion.

They are only legal for High School ball if they have the BBCOR certification on the bat.

Thanks, everyone, for your quick replies. 

The one at which we are looking is BBCOR.  Besides school ball he'll be playing in a wood-bat league this year and he wants to find something that's comfortable for both.
