This year made 7 of the last 10...starting in 2002...(02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 12)....I was counting 2001 initially, but that would have been 11 years ago now...So in the last 10 years, HJ AND Ozen have the most regional tourney appearances.. 8)....CORRECTION THEY DO HAVE MORE! Yeah we beat Wheatley to go to Austin in 2001, then they lost to them in the 2005 Regional...missed 22 free throws that game and lost by 2...missed 17 in the second half, including 5 in a row down the stretch that cost them the game...Wheatley wore them down with the pace, and hard fouls, and they could never get the tempo controlled..They were 34-1 that year...8 out of the last 10 regional tourneys, Ozen has been there...HJ who? ;)...(thought I would give you a little ammo, BD!!) ;D

In the 8 years that Silsbee has been in 3A, they have made the regional tourney 6 of those 8 seasons. The Tigers made regionals in '05, '07, '08, '09, '10, '12, making the regional finals in '05, '07, '08, '10, '12, advancing to state in '08 and '10.

Brandon Chappell finished in 2002 when we lost to Dallas Lincoln in the State Championship game.  DeCarlos Frank's freshman year (2007) they also made it to the State Title game before losing to Dallas South Oak Cliff...His sophmore (2008) year they lost to Yates in the regional....His junior year they lost in the 2nd round to Huntsville, and I am not sure which round they lost in his senior year, but they didn't make the regional tourney.

I see the oversight....I counted 2006 as a regional year, when they lost to Brenham in the Quarterfinals that season....7 is the accurate count since 2002... 7 of 10 regional tourney appearances is not to shabby for both programs.

[/quote]Its 2012 So its been 5 yr that HJ has advanced further than any other team in the area. I would not say that as CONTINUING ADVANCING FURTHER.  HJ has a good program but so do other area teams ;D ;D  Dont try and make your team look good by putting others down.

Not meaning to put any other schools down.  It just seems to me that HJ manages to get to regionals on a more consistent basis than most other local programs - of course I'm biased! ;D ;D ;D
