What about LaMarque?
If I'm not mistaken, all sports at LaMarque have been put on probation. LaMarque's coach claimed players involved were punished for the game played after Ozen. UIL wasn't satisfied with the punishment given to Ozen's players by Coach Nelson therefore leading to this additional punishment. Again if I'm not mistaken.

dustoff03 Posted April 10, 2012 Report Posted April 10, 2012 Since another infraction will result in termination from the team, I wonder how many out there will try to use this to there advantage. Meaning players trying to provoke other players. I know it is a terrible thought, but you have to consider it.

Players need to learn to take their aggresion out during the play.
Guest UHCoog14 Posted April 10, 2012 Report Posted April 10, 2012 If these young people want to understand how to react to REAL adversity, I would suggest they find their library and read the following: I Never Had It Made: An Autobiography of Jackie Robinson They would see how a great human being reacted to adversity they will never understand.

If you have players out there trying to physically hurt you, I can imagine a little provoking going on out there.

Self Control.. Take no pointers from Sean Payton JS

ChampionEagles Posted April 10, 2012 Report Posted April 10, 2012 Right. But afterall, you are talking about teenagers. Emotions tend to take over in the heat of battleAnd now days excuses are made for every violation of rules by not only the teenagers but by a lot of adults. Sometimes it's no else' fault but your own. We as a society tend to want to blame others instead of standing up and saying "yes, I'm at fault".

bh89-2 Posted April 11, 2012 Report Posted April 11, 2012 It wasn't that long ago coaches were watching porn in the same locker room (different coaches). Not always just kids, parents and staff need to take a better leadership role. I'd say haul them to Dayton and say, this is where we will ship you if you don't straighten up. That will scare them straight. ;D ;D

sig220 Posted April 12, 2012 Report Posted April 12, 2012 Expectations need to change also. If they have established a culture that accepts fights, etc. the real problem lies there, not with the consequences.
