Ralph Posted April 11, 2012 Report Posted April 11, 2012 Jacoy Finney (sr) from West Orange Stark plays 3rd, pitches and catches some. Batting well over 442, 4-Hr's, 22 runs and 23 hits with 16 RBI's in district (6 games) and may be a leader in the area with HR's - 4 and possibly steals 16 for 3A. Also have to give a nod to the freshman Pitcher Aidan Anderson ( 21-3A district) who has 36 K's in 19 innings, 5-2 record with a 2.29 ERA. It takes a lot of passion for kids who just turned 14 (if they are a true freshman) to stand on the mound and pitch to 17-18 year old players as well bat against players who are already signed to play D1 baseball in many cases. SETX has many great players and many more coming up.

Silva went to San Jac and is now at Sam Houston St. Kelley went to Galveston and is no longer playing ball. Burditt was a junior that year and didn't get a chance to throw much. He went to Galveston and is now at San Jac. Got beat that year in the Regional semis by a very good montgomery team, 2-0 and 4-2. Montgomery had two pitchers that went on to play at the next level. One in D1 and the other drafted as a hitter.
