WOSgrad Posted April 11, 2012 Report Posted April 11, 2012 Someone will suffer their first district loss tonight!
AggiesAreWe Posted April 12, 2012 Report Posted April 12, 2012 To the announcer on KOGT (which is not Gary Stelly), Silsbee pitcher Mathew Hartman is not Silsbee's #1 pitcher.I expected Silsbee to pitch Hartman, Jenkins and possibly Gore tonight and save Simmons and Murray for Friday night.Tigers willing to take a loss to save pitching with Powell out for season.

westend1 Posted April 12, 2012 Report Posted April 12, 2012 Looking like it didn't matter who pitched for Silsbee.

adminbaberuth Posted April 12, 2012 Report Posted April 12, 2012 Close game till Hunter Uzzle hits the 3 run bomb. Mitchel Hubbard hit one of the longest HR's I've seen this season. Jake Lemoine was on tonight, plenty of scouts in stands, that could be good or bad, Jake performed. Should be another good game Friday. Hartman threw well for Silsbee.Silsbee......0000000....021Bridge City.111003x....650BC (16-2-1) (6-0)
Rake1 Posted April 12, 2012 Report Posted April 12, 2012 Lemoine threw extermely well tonight and BC got timely hits when needed. Matthew Hartman did a great job for most of the game, one or two pitches were elevated and resulted in hard hits but he certainly kept the bats in check and gave Silsbee a chance. Jenkins showed glimpses of some good stuff and that has to be a positive for Silsbee heading into the playoffs. Friday will be another good one for sure. Look for Guidry and Simmons to square off and the atmosphere to be like a playoff game.Good luck to both squads, can't wait for round 2!Rake1
jenks Posted April 12, 2012 Report Posted April 12, 2012 Impressive win Bridge City! Get them next time Silsbee. :D
rbi12 Posted April 12, 2012 Report Posted April 12, 2012 Sometimes you just have to tip your cap to your mound opponent and say "Job well done!"
