And already had 30+ yards that game anyways. But not making excuses. Yall made the plays. We didn't. But that game could've gone either way.
He wasn't the leading rusher. Hate to burst your bubble but we had this discussion several times during the season.
At the time he was. You want me to bring back the stats?
No actually at the time he wasn't! Mayes had a 10 yard edge on him. And soon thereafter the Bull was lost for the year and a 4-0 Livingston team went 3-3 without him.
David BolingerTexas high - 17 att 133 ydsBC - 11 att 130 ydsKville - 12 att 125 ydsDevonte MaysJasper - 16 att 127 ydsHouston Washington - 8 att 143 ydsHuntsville - 9 att 90 ydsDavid Bolinger total yards at week 3 - 388Devonte Mays total yards at week 3 - 360Stats don't lie guys.
So where did you get your Mayes Totals? and Where did you get your Bollinger totals? It's pretty obvious you got the Mayes numbers from iPreps, but did not use iPreps for Bollingers totals. Real convinient. In that case "STATS DO LIE!"Bollinger on iPreps (same site you used for Mays)Texas high - 17 att 138 ydsBC - 11 att 102 ydsKville - 12 att 110 ydsFor a total of 350. Or 10 fewer yards than Mays. I ain't got a dog in this fight, no pun intended, but if your trying to say that losing Bollinger was why you lost to Nederland, then you are just like all those other Vidor sports fans that claim that it's the coaches fault or it's the officials fault or an injury's fault, but never give credit to the fact that the other team was just better! It happens. Last year we had a shot to beat Nederland, but it didn't happen and there were many things we could point to, but in the end they were just better than us (not by much ;D).
Ipreps was where i got may's stats but i got bolinger's stats from the stat book of Vidor. Maybe they counted the kickoffs or something but i know they are accurate. And i have been saying the whole time that yall beat us and never did i say that if bolinger didn't get injured that we would've won i'm simply trying to justify that if Bolinger had been in it could've been the tip on scale on a 3 point win. That is all. The Bulldogs won. Plain and simple. It happens. No excuses there. 8)

It will be exciting to see how well they do under pressure. They didn't have as much hype last year as they do this year. That's a definite factor.
I think that Central is capable of making the playoffs, but they can't rely on Mitchell running the ball nearly every down simply because he is there best player. Everyone said that he would be bound to get hurt if he ran nearly every play and that is exactly what happened. When will Central open up their offense? 'Quite Frankly' I think the 20-4A district title is a toss up. Vidor and Ozen have teams that believe and they have talent to make some noise. PNG is my sleeper.
Great post. I totally agree. PNG is always a sleeper with there tradition and coach. And Central will be dangerous if they find a RB or Receiver to take some heat off of Mitchell. I'm calling Central as my underdog for the season.
pngfan66 Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012
As a PNG fan I know Nederland is the clear favorite to win district. After that the remaining three teams will be a crapshoot. Just for giggles.2. PN-G3. Vidor4. Livingston / OzenPN-G will only be as successful as the QB play allows them to be. They have plenty of size and skill players but I was told that AJ has issues "throwing a catchable ball". If he develops some touch and accuracy he has plenty of arm strength to get the job done. I can say for a fact I speak with one of the smaller kids on the O-line pretty often and he is about 6'0" and in the 250 to 260 range.
I was up at the school yesterday and was watching AJ throw the ball around on the field to some of the receivers. He throws very hard and was dead on with his throws 9 out of 10 times. That was short routes, cross the middle routes and the deep ball. He was throwing bullets 10,20 yards at a time. I think Faircloth has worked hard with him. I do know he will be hitting some camps this summer as well. He had great form and technique rolling out and throwing. I think us PNG fans always have a struggle with a new QB til we see them make it happen. I feel more comfortable after yesterday. Also the back up to AJ has a great arm as well. Very fast too. To the doubters. Next years Senior class has matured tremendously and all have grown in size considerably and are still doing so. Also you have to add in the mix the boys who played JV last season who are moving up. There is alot of talent there and some incredible size. There is gonna be another tall receiver on the field as well, just a bit shorter than Chipman. Very fast. We also have several backs to choose from or use in a split backfield. I have all the faith that Faircloth and his coaches will have this team right up there in the mix of it all and be a playoff team.
prepballfan Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012 A QB 6'5" throwing to a reciever at 6'4" will be fun to watch at PNG this season.

jordibug15 Posted April 28, 2012 Report Posted April 28, 2012 All I have to say is GOOOOO RAIDERS!!!! Prove everyone wrong!
pngfan66 Posted April 28, 2012 Report Posted April 28, 2012 PNG had their first Spring practice today. Full pads. Team looked good. D was on mark and the O line did very well. Defense executed very well. Impressed with their pressure and pursuit. Secondary is very good. I was surprised at the size we have out there on the O line. 3 returners and the other 2 are very good size boys. Running backs are very very quick and fast. Very explosive thru the gaps and to the outside. Several receivers to throw to again this year with great hands. 3 of which are tall, around 6'2"-4". The others have great hands as well. AJ was on the mark for most passes today. Stayed in the pocket and picked best route and receiver. Back up QB has a great arm as well. Reminds me of Miller. He can tuck and run when he has too. Very fast. Team looked very good and solid. Now I'm biased, but others may see differently. Team worked hard this morning. We were missing a few key players today due to minor injuries from other sports. Overall good looking group of boys out there. Very balanced on both sides of the ball.
