No, not at all...but for the statement to be made about who a "great candidate" is, I doubt just being an assistant at LCM would be the standard for that statement...I was just asking how he came to that conclusion...FYI, Clay Davis would be a great fit at HF...Maybe even a guy that coached under Brian English at Vidor, like Lance Stevenson...or Ron Jackson who coached under David Green...THESE are the caliber of assistants that in my estimation are to be considered "great" candidates for head coaching jobs.

He took over at Vidor for 4-5 years after English left. He is now an Assistant at PAM. He and English made small miracles happen in V-V-Vid Vidor!!

Again, not on the list. Coach Williams did not apply. Neither did Ron Jackson. I agree with DV, no way Ron leaves his assistant AD position at BISD for head basketball coach at Hamshire-Fannett.

How about suggest someone that did apply?

Thats not accurate...There is usually no application filled out unitil you are actually called for an interview...the public information act requires school districts to release the names of all individuals who sent in a resume with intentions of applying for a job.  There is no "secret" applying....

All I'm saying is they have made mistakes before, concerning who has applied and not applied for specfic coaching positions.
