Does anyone know what happen to Jared Green a Arkansas committ? have not heard anything about him this season, he was suppose to be Magnolia's stud, maybe he plays for Magnolia West, but thought it was Magnolia.

Senior P/1B Jarred Green, an Arkansas signee, was projected as the No. 1 pitcher, but he began experiencing pain in his elbow in the offseason and had Tommy John surgery. Against Montgomery (regionals) last year he was really good. Leadoff McGowan, Lee, Hickman, Salvaggio are good hitters and I believe Black is their #1 pitcher. I know the hill has some depth at pitching , and if their bats are hot , they will for sure put some runs on the board . Dont know that much about Magnolia . have heard they are pretty salty , either way i'm sure it will be a good series . Best of luck to both teams . And may the best team win . Nothing like playoff baseball boys , enjoy every minute of it and give it everything u got . Truly blessed to get to experience this . Again . good luck to both teams
BrenhamFan Posted May 7, 2012 Report Posted May 7, 2012 This will be a good series, and I say it goes 3 games. With Green, Magnolia could compete for a state title. Without him, I'm not sure they have a deep enough bullpen. They can hit the ball, so if it's gonna be slugfest, you better bring your bats. The Bulldogs lead off hitter McGowan is good in the field and a beast at the plate. IMO, he's their best player. The scary thing is he's just a sophomore. Hickman is also one to keep an eye on. He can hit and is a great catcher with a cannon. BH will have the edge on the mound, but Magnolia might be 17-4A's best hitting team. I'll take Magnolia in 3.

Not as noisy as years past, but there were still a few with their noisemaker's. (mainly young kids) They are pretty annoying, so pack your Advil. They usually have a lot of fan support, and for the most part, know their baseball.

That multi-millionaire duck call maker is from Monroe, La. Threw out the first pitch last Saturday night for ULM Warhawk senior day. Seriously, sat and talked with him for a few minutes. Very neat, likeable guy.

His brother is wearing a BH hat in the show and they have a wrapped travel trailer up on the Hill next to the feed/tackle store on 146. Looks as if they were even smart enough to get out of Dayton.
