New Boat!

Well,  my Suzuki died and, well,  we had already been talking about getting a little bigger boat,  so I boat a new one the other day.  Haven't gotten it yet,  waiting on the motor to come in.  I decided to get another Suzuki,  although I was pissed that my 12 yr. old got water in places that aren't supposed to have water in them.  I just loved that motor and the performance.  Hard to get something else.
Now, I need to do some fishin'!

After MONTHS of consideration (and shopping) I decided on the Lowe, 17' aluminum.  It's similar to the style that I have now, but longer & wider w/ TONS of storage.  I think I'm gonna like it a lot.  70 hp 4 stroke.

[/quote]  I went down this morning and looked at the AlumnaCraft 1860.  It's got a small tunnel and sponsons.  Looks pretty cool, but $13,000 for the boat and trailer(no motor), seems a little high.

ugh...  count me out.  The only time I can catch a bass is in the Spring,  when they are shallow... and suicidal.

Looking at a "new" used boat.  Anybody have any experience with a triton aluminum?  Guy has a 20 ft center console with a 115 Merc 4 stroke with 95 hours.  It has a small tunnel.  How would that handle Sabine chop?    The tunnel and high transom spooks me a little.  I mostly fish Sabine and the jetties, but sometimes venture into Keith or the lake.

OK, boys.  Since I got no advice, I bought the Triton.  Now I need to get rid of a 17' Alumacraft bass boat with a 90 Yamaha  I'll make you a gooood deal!    ;)

I bought a Triton as well and am needing to get rid of the 15 ft fiberglass 96 Cajun with 88 Johnson.  It is pictured on southeasttexas.com but will make a way better deal then what I'm asking for on there for any poster interested.
