Thank you.  We're bringing the "state champs" title back to region 3, where it belongs!  Smoking baby, unfortunately for BH y'all are probably the next team in our way....  ;D

Can't wait till next year when Tomball drops 4A. Been doing fairly well in 5A, pretty good shot to dethrown the Cubs as state champs lol.

I guess it's good thing our schedule has been loaded with top 5A teams for the last 15 years.  If you think Tomball will just come in and be the king, you're sadly mistaken.  Ask Stratford how well that worked out for them....  They did ok in 5A, then they joined our district and couldn't even make the playoffs!  We play teams that are as good or better than Tomball every year.... (The Woodlands, Houston Lamar, Klein, Round Rock, RR Stoney Point, & numerous CFISD schools) The tourneys we play in are 80%-90% full of 5A schools.  With that being said, we're not intimidated one bit.  To be the best, you have to beat the best.  Everybody in 4A region 3 knows that the road to Round Rock goes through Brenham, and for the last 3 years and counting, my Cubs are the only team that has made it down that road.  Also, we were state champs in 2010.  In 2009 & 2011, we were just semifinalist.  ;)

Not saying they will I said they have a shot and I obviously regarded to y'all as good by saying you would win a state title this yr without saying it. To dethrown would mean y'all are reigning champs. Stratford is a different story, inner city school playing weak baseball teams. As far as the teams you play Tomball plays them as well and is in probably the hardest 5A district in the state. I just wonder if Tomball will be in Region 3 or 2 in 4A bc they are in region 2 now. Oh fyi I played against you guys about 10 years ago in the playoffs, I know what they are capable of and seen them get stronger since then bc we beat y'all ;P lol and we were an avg team with a little luck on our side. I wish you guys the best of luck and would like no other 4A team besides y'all or a Magnolia team to win it all.

Thanks, it's always nice to have extra support.  We have a long way to go still, with our biggest test yet, this weekend.  I agree on y'alls schedule being one of the most difficult.  Ours wasn't a cake walk though.... (except Northbrook) I think y'all will be in region 3 next year.  It will be an even more difficult region to navigate through, with the new teams we have joining.

Region 3 no matter what size school usually has good baseball. Tomball had Westfield, Klein Forest and Dekaney in their district which if they were in some other districts they would be ok and usually have a stud pitcher or 2 to throw at you. In this district there is tons of good pitchers prob the only advantage if you get to the playoffs you don't see much better. The district next year will not be near as competitive, really wished to be in y'alls distgrict for better competition.

[/quote]dont mind bh. This is a huge accomplishment for them. I think this is the first boys sport to go 3rds deep in one of the big 3 sports in probably 10 or 15 years. Schools like brenham png dayton do it all the time so let bh soak up the glory of the 3rd round.

They do have three starters on the baseball team that were also starters on the football team this year.  m
