tvc184
whoever it is' date=' it would be nice to see an insider get it..someone familiar w/ kids, staff, facilities, etc[/quote'] Yeah. That is the same strategy they use at Ozen. Nederland did the same thing for a number years and then went outside and got Larry Neumann. What a mistake that was by not getting someone familiar with the program.
Guest licketysplit
Who cares if the person is familiar with the kids, staff, families, ect. or not.........That philosophy is ridiculous. You want a coach that is a winner and knows what winning is about, and knows ALOT about how to make the other sports along with football excel..Thats what you want ..............Are ANY of the names mentioned here like that???? ALSO Someone impartial, FAIR, Honest.....ect.............Someone of good character. Enough with power trip, non communicative, football only, not thinking before you speak, coaches with no backbone.........Lets get someone in here of quality...............that will make the players better people when they graduate and also get the most out of them while they are in school playing....................LETS GET SOMEONE LIKE THAT!!!!!!!!!!!! Wait nahhhhhhhhhhhhhh,,,,,lets just keep it with someone we all know...................yeah lets do that...................RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!! MY most humble opinion though......... ................ buzby
I actually do know Mathews and have known him for years. I have seen how he handles situations at school, on the field, in the community, with family, etc. Like I said before, I'd be happy to have him coach my son. I want someone with character coaching my son.

AHUDDLESTON
JAMES JOHNSON AND RICHARD BRIGGS MEET THE QUALIFICATIONS LAID OUT ABOVE. BOTH UPSTANDING MEN, BOTH HAVE DAUGHTERS(GIRLS ATHLETICS), BOTH WERE HEAD COACHES OF SPORTS OTHER THAN FOOTBALL, BOTH KNOW FOOTBALL, BOTH WOULD DO A GREAT JOB FOR B.C. But, w/o head football experience (or at least coordinator experience) I don't see a school the size of BC hiring either of them as a head football coach. Seems like they usually get someone who's been a head football coach to fill the head football job.
