You need Montgomery to win so Brenhamfan can talk some pre-game smack about the matchup with you. I'm not going to talk till after the series is over (Sante Fe is what we are worried about). One game at a time! Better worry about Lamar Consolidated, they might sneak up on the Eagles!

Santa Fe is GOOD.  VERY GOODI don't think any of us are sneaky at this point.

In fact, they are so good we beat them 10-0 in 5 innings.  Haha.  I've seen both teams numerous times this year, and Montgomery easily looked like the better team.  Go Bears!  You guys are doing 17-4A proud in baseball & softball. Good luck!

So Brenham Fan you've seen the Hill and Montgomery play. What's your opinion on a Barbers Hill vs Montgomery series?

If BH plays like they did against us, they should win.  Pitching is just too deep, and they are hitting the ball just about as good as you can.  Montgomery is also very good, and their ace can really throw it.  I'd pick BH, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if Montgomery won.  I'm still pulling for 17-4A though.  ;)

    • Virginia has same day voter registration. A person can literally walk in to the voting location, register and then vote. So the premise that Virginia might be stopping people with a legitimate right to vote is nonsense. From what I gather in the news report, assuming that the ones I have read are correct, the people that were removed, filled out a drivers license registration and marked that they were not an American citizen. Could the person have made a mistake bychecking the box incorrectly? Although unlikely it is certainly possible. That same person who was removed can go into the same voting location where he would have voted and again, complete a voter registration and then vote.  That went into the Supreme Court’s decision.  If such a person votes by registering on election day, he fills out a provisional ballot. Provisional ballots are not originally counted and or not counted unless needed. For example….  Statewide there are 500 provisional ballots cast. A person wins the election by 4,000 votes. That would be no need to count the provisional ballots as it will not matter. Then let’s say there are 5,000 provisional ballots cast in the election. One candidate then wins the election by only 1,500 votes. In that case, the election could definitely swing on those provisional ballots. The state will then investigate each person to make sure they live at the correct address listed and that they are American citizens. If these things are correct, the vote will then be counted. Safe Harbor is not untillll…… I think December 17th this year so there will be six weeks to verify the provisional ballots if needed. The purging of the names of people who checked a state form saying that they were not an American citizen, will not stop that same person from voting.
