PNG, Nederland, Bridge City, Hull-Daisetta, High Island, Beaumont French, Beaumont Hebert, Dayton and Beaumont Kelly have all played in the state title game, with some of those winning.

They also won state in 1953, lost in 54, then won in '55. Nederland lost the state title game in 1956, then won it in 1957.
