Silsbee has been to Austin a couple times since the long 20+ yr strecth they went without seeing the State Tourney, [b]If [/b] coach sig gets his Tigers past yates in the playoffs is this the year they bring it home?

3 years ago we went to state track and field with jared parker on pole vault and two years ago we went to state powerlifting with david bolinger and bethani duncan. and last year with tobie dorn with powerlifting.

Uh, DV, I think you need to stick to what you know and that's basketball. Those teams you listed are not the ONLY teams from this area that have played for or won a state championship in football. PNG, Nederland, Bridge City, Hull-Daisetta, High Island, Beaumont French, Beaumont Hebert, Dayton and Beaumont Kelly have all played in the state title game, with some of those winning.

He was probably referring to 1977 for PNG when they lost in the state finals. They also won state in 1953, lost in 54, then won in '55. Nederland lost the state title game in 1956, then won it in 1957.
