WOSgrad Posted June 12, 2012 Report Posted June 12, 2012 It is apparently a possibility. I just saw this tweet from a Dallas Morning News writer which was retweeted by Chris Lyke of texashsfootball.com:"Big for 3A D1 football: UIL proposal adds 4th playoff team in 3A, 2A in all sports. Moves to Legis. council in Oct."
AggiesAreWe Posted June 12, 2012 Report Posted June 12, 2012 STUPID!!!!!!!!!If you are going to allow 4 teams to make the playoffs, then they should make every district a minimum of 8 teams per district.I don't like that 4 teams go in 5A/4A when some of those districts only have 5-6 teams.RIDICULOUS!!!!
Bobcatfan4life Posted June 12, 2012 Report Posted June 12, 2012 I agree. Making the playoffs used to be a big deal. I would like to see a uniform system from 1A-5A...either drop the split division system for all classes and take 3 to the playoffs or go split division system and take 2 per district
WOSgrad Posted June 12, 2012 Author Report Posted June 12, 2012 That would mean that in all but the 3 4A districts and 10-2A-I, a team does not even have to finish in the top half of district to make the playoffs.
BunaBoy84 Posted June 12, 2012 Report Posted June 12, 2012 So when is this supposed to come into effect?
