H-D BOBCAT 55 Posted June 22, 2012 Report Posted June 22, 2012 Coach Brown was my Coach for 4 years at Hull-Daisetta. He is very passionate and extremely knowledgable. I remember the stories he would tell of covering WR's like Tim Brown, when he was a CB at Texas Tech. I also remember Coach Brown pulling me to the side, in between classes and handing me the newly released book "Friday Night Lights", he said you have got to read this big dog. :) Those memories of my football days are so awesome. :)

But don't underestimate those Hull-Whoever stories.

I apologize for the wood shed beatings. ;) ;D Please don't tell me you played for West Sabine, we destroyed Juan Mason and Shane Moses!! lol

I'm from a little Class A district 60 miles west of Houston. We were in the Southeast corner of our district and traveled to places like Bastrop, Giddings, Luling and Smithville. Weimer and Hallettsville were close-travel games for us. Games then started at 8 PM because of the travel time involved. Which really made your Saturday job a hard thing to face after you had been beated by 40 points in Luling and rode that bus for 3 hours coming home after that game. Ahhh, the good ol' days.

Just wish you and the other rabid H-D fans (that live in the old days) would let the season play out instead of trying to WISH or HYPEsuccess on the Cats. Let 'em play and then give them the praise that they earn it. And I'm very glad that you like the new coach; he seems to be off to a great start. But the same with him - let the results be his measurement - not your preseason prediction. 8)
ndnsrock44 Posted June 24, 2012 Report Posted June 24, 2012 Tigersvoice...Coach Brown is coaching at OZEN. I don't see how Bobcat 55 having fond memories of his coach has anything to do with hyping the 2012 H-D football team. Either your reading comprehension skills are at pre-school level or you are just a miserable person. Good luck to Coach Brown and his son( hopefully a future Ag) this season.
