BLUEDOVE3 Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 According to Paul Biancardi (ESPN), Texas is currently the front runner among all states with a total of 104 D1 basketball signees (as of June 20th). The totals come from the letters of intent signed from November 2011 to date. California is second with 95, followed by Georgia (61). But here comes the bragging part: Basketball powerhouse states such as Illinois (57) & New York had only 46. "Totals include both high school grads and Juco players who are natives of the particular state."

CheatSheet Posted June 22, 2012 Report Posted June 22, 2012 Thanks for sharing these stats with your followers. This info was initiated and supplied by Rcs Sports and the actual credit was given to Paul and the ESPN's stat guy, Brandon. They volunteered to gather those stats upon my request for an article I may comprise for this year's edition of "Da Magazine". During your post you credited ESPN but didn't mention Rcs Sports. Maybe that was an oversight?
BLUEDOVE3 Posted June 22, 2012 Author Report Posted June 22, 2012 YEP, definitely an oversight on my part. The info was obtained from RCS Sports out of Houston and the #1 place for info for Greater Houston basketball. ;)
