And in Texas, such anomoly usually brings about change. In Humble, that is no different as Charles West, just off a stint as offensive coordinator at 5A, DII State Champion Spring DeKaney, takes over as the head man in Humble. He and his inexperienced crew...only five starters return...look to make the playoffs out of their new district, 19-4A.Coaching StaffHead Coach: Charles WestCoaching Record: 1st year at Humble and overallAssistant Coaches:Antonio Singleton, Defensive Coordinator; Clay Sims, Offensive Coordinator; Mike Garcia, Offensive line; Scott East, Defensive line; Cagney Funderburk, Wide receivers; Jaquail Young, Safeties; Byron Richmond, CornerbacksStadium Information*Home Stadium: Home Stadium: Turner StadiumAddress: 1700 Wilson Road, Humble, Texas 77338Capacity: 10200Playing surface: Field Turf2011 Results

Opponent Score

Channelview 25-27

Baytown Sterling 33-7

Pasadena Dobie 17-20

Conroe Caney Creek# 31-24

Porter# 43-0

New Caney# 35-0

Huntsville# 7-13

Kingwood Park# 14-24

Willis# 14-17

Humble Summer Creek# 35-42

# - District games2012 OffenseOffense: Multiple setReturning Starters: 3The Wildcats will be looking to use the pre-district slate to gain experience as only three starters return from last year's squad. Senior quarterback Jeremiah Allison moves over from wide receiver (7 catches, 86 yards, 1 TD in 2011) to take the reigns of the Humble offense. He will be joined in the backfield by senior running back Chris Hardin. Senior Jaylon Zailcoffer (5 catches, 50 yards in 2011) will lead the Wildcat receiving corp. Senior Eduardo Osegueda will anchor the Wildcat offensive line.2012 DefenseDefense: 4-3Returning starters: 2Inexperience will also be the name of the game on the Wildcat defense as only two starters come back from last year. Those two starters, senior defensive end Jalen Johnson and junior defensive end Niguel Williams, will be counted on to steady things up front for Humble. Senior linebacker Trevon Price and sophomore iinebacker Johnny Bolden will lead the linebackers. Junior Brett Walker will anchor the Humble secondary.2012 Special TeamsJunior Oscar Zamudio will handle the kicking duties for Humble this year.2012 Key GamesFormer district foe Huntsville will visit to start Humble's regular season on August 30th. Fellow Humble ISD school Kingwood Park will be the Wildcats' first district 19-4A opponent on September 14th. October 5th and 11th will be a key stretch as they visit Barbers Hill on the 5th and host Dayton on the 11th. C.E. King will visit Humble to close the regular season on November 8th2012 Schedule

Date Opponent Time

Aug. 30 Huntsville 7:00 p.m.

Sept. 7 at Channelview 7:00 p.m.

Sept. 14 at Kingwood Park# 7:00 p.m.

Sept. 21 OPEN

Sept. 28 Porter# 7:00 p.m.

Oct. 5 at Barbers Hill# 7:00 p.m.

Oct. 11 Dayton# 7:00 p.m.

Oct. 19 at Humble Summer Creek# 7:00 p.m.

Oct. 27 New Caney# 7:00 p.m.

Nov. 2 at Crosby# 7:00 p.m.

Nov. 8 Sheldon C.E. Lions#80 Posted July 5, 2012 Report Posted July 5, 2012 Wow 5 returnees and looking to make the playoffs in 17-4A :o :o :o :o
Trocket Posted July 8, 2012 Report Posted July 8, 2012 Summer Creek took too much talent from them to reload as in the past. They will have to rebuild as most good 4A teams have too. :'( :'(
