vcbasketball15 Posted August 18, 2012 Report Posted August 18, 2012 lumberton has a decent freshman group coming, headlined by Tim Rhodes. Kid has a basketball IQ well beyond is age, and can hit the big shot. Will make a big impact if hes on the varsity this year. wouldnt suprise me if he could compete for newcomer of the year in the district, but thats hard in a district with ozen, central, and nederland.

I doubt we'll bench the 3 freshmen that started last year and G. Mitchell. The only spot left to fill is the one left from K. Smith. I've seen video that Pearson kid and he sure can go. It would be interesting if we go to another starting freshman this year or will we mold them and let some upperclassmen step in. Seems to be a 'good problem' at Central. 8)

If Ned was 'rebuilding', then maybe. But we return 9 lettermen, and 4-5 kids who were on JV last year who will also contribute.
