2012 Offense

Offense: I formation and spread
Returning starters: 8

Coach Boyd will enjoy the luxury of an experienced offense as seven starters return from the 2011 squad.  Returning to lead the Patriot offense will be senior Deandre Durden (2nd team all district, 52-127, 687 yards and 2 TD passing; 101 rushes, 579 yd, 10 TD rushing).  Among those joining Durden in the backfield will be senior fullback Zach Woodard (11 carries, 110 yd in 2011). A couple of juniors, Coby Schmaker (7 catches, 81 yards in 2011) and SeanDre Alexander (12 catches, 208 yd) will lead the Patriot receivers this year.  Senior guard Kenneth Camp (1st team all district in 2011) will lead an offensive line which will also feature junior guard Trey Jackson and senior tackle Demere Thompson.

2012 Defense

Defense: 3-4
Returning starters: 6

Like the offense, the 2011 Patriot defense is full of experience.  Senior tackles Dequirion Reed and Seth Tyler, along with junior end Darrius Montgomery will keep things stable on the front line.  Junior Don Rittenhouse will be called upon the lead the GCM linebacker corp.  Seniors Joseph Lewis and Curtis Granberry will anchor the Patriot secondary.

2012 Special Teams

The kicking and punting jobs are still under battle.  Senior Granberry will be the primary kick returner.

2012 Key Games

Goose Creek Memorial will begin the regular season by hosting Lumberton on August 30th.  The Patriots will begin 24-4A district play by traveling to Texas City on September 28th.  A clash with GCISD mate Robert E. Lee follows on October 5th.  Santa Fe comes to town on November 8th to close the regular season.

Looks like GCM should be pretty good this year! Good luck in the new district, it's going to be wierd not playing yall  :'(
I bet they do really well over there though!
There are 3 automatic loses on that schedule.  Ball is a wild card.  Going to be tough. Not to mention stupid for them not to be playing BH, Crosby, Dayton.

Ball Sucks! Central even beat them last year. Friendswoods has been down the last couple of years. Dawson is the stud of that district and you Texas City is always competitive, but I think the Pats can pull out 3rd IMO.

GCMPats?  No 'funny' insight?
I'm saving up for that Medical Magnet preview. Don't want to use up all my material.

Besides, this Patriot team is nothing to laugh at.

Sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying.

No doubt there.  The days of Lee vs. Sterling are long gone.
