Nederland is confident but not over confident. We do have a good team with a lot of experience . Vidor is a strong team that is coming off the best year in decades. Nederland is not worried about Vidor .The DOGS have one heck of a preseason to get thru first. When the time comes the DOGS will prepare for Vidor like the prepare for every other team we play. One Team with One Dream 12/16/2012.
  Nederland will play one play at a time and one game at a time no looking forward  and definitely not looking back. GO DOGS

  Vidor has a pretty good defense and offense wasn't nederland's strength last year, I'm hoping your right, but I think it will be a much closer game and a bit of a defensive battle

To think Nederland will hang 40 points on Vidor is just as crazy as [u][b]SOME[/b][/u] of the Vidor fans on these threads that think the pirates will hang 40 on the Dogs.  Its not gonna happen.  The Nederland defense is just to good and the Vidor defense is pretty good themselves.  Now I think there will be 40 points scored, but it will be like last year with the two teams punching it out to the last few seconds of the game.  It was a great game last year no matter what side of the field you were sitting on.  The only thing I hope for this years is that my Pirates come out on top this year.  Either way its going to be one heck of a start to district play.

I agree. Should be a low scoring game. Last season Ned averaged giving up 16 points a game through the regular season and Vidor averaged giving up 18. Both offenses averaged around 27 points a game. Should be a great one and God willing injury free.

that said, i won't predict a score but naturally i'll take Vidor by 3. ;)

Nedrlands front 4 will average 270 lbs at 6'1.75" their largest lines in along time and add a 5th that is 6'2" 250 sophomore it could be a formidable line to play. Then 2 All-District linebackers that will average 6'0 at 215 lbs it will definetly be a challenge to run right at. I like our odds for sure but that is why they play . Can't wait. GO DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!

i don't put much stock into size these days. it is all about execution. our offense is based off misdirection so we wont be running right at the dogs. but never the less, Ned has a great defense and i'm sure we will be prepared as will they. this game will come down to big plays be it D or O and mistakes. i don't think anyone(as last year)will totaly dominate the other.

Losing confidence in your team? Placing your win on your homefield advantage sounds a little desperate to me.  The Pirates will be ready or they won't.....when the DOGS show up at THE BONEYARD, they will be ready and looking to start District play with a win.  It's one thing to support your team, but don't make comments like that...your team reads these posts.  Show more confidence in them.  Good luck to both teams.

Okay let me explain this to you. SMH

Yes we are placing our confidence in the win based on the fact that we are playing at the boneyard. Vidor gave yall a helluva game last year and yall won in the final seconds and we expect to have the same type of game this year with the edge going to Vidor based on Home field advantage.
