[size=12pt]One of the newer teams that SETX fans will see a bit of are the Santa Fe Indians of District 24-4A, which will be the new home of Baytown Lee, Goose Creek Memorial and Galena Park of the old 19-4A.  Coach Jay Buckner hopes to climb to the top of the district with the departures of Manvel and La Marque and nine returning starters.

Junior quarterback Ryan Skufca (59-134, 420 yd, 3 TD in 2011) will return to guide the Indian offense.  Wide receiver Jon Rosson (2 catches, 13 yards in 2011) and tight end Colton Davis (2 catches, 18 yards, 1 TD in 2011) will constitute the Santa Fe receiver corp.  They'll be operating behind the experienced offensive line of Steven Barrett, Matt Blevins and Matthew Sobnosky.

Santa Fe will start off their 2012 season by traveling to Vidor on August 31st.  They'll begin district 24-4A play by hosting Pearland Dawson on September 28th.  The Indians close the regular season in Baytown against Goose Creek Memorial on November 9th.

No - Santa Fe and El Campo are not that close together.  El Campo is on US 59 further south than Wharton.  Santa Fe is on Hwy 6 between Alvin and Galveston.

They were something like 9-2 in 2010 an ranked in the Houston area's Top 10.
