2012 Humble Summer Creek Bulldogs Team Preview

[size=12pt]Well, we know that the Summer Creek Bulldogs will not repeat as a playoff team out of District 18-4A, but that is only because the Bulldogs have been moved by the UIL to 19-4A.  Coach Brian Ford's men look to make the same splash in their new district as they did in the old.  Eight starters from last year's squad return seeking a district title in a new district.

[size=12pt][b]Returning Starters: 3[/b]

Junior quarterback Aaron Sharp (178-272, 2563, 23 TD in 2011), 2011 18-4A District MVP will return to lead the Bulldog offense.  He will be joined by running backs KeeVon Aldridge (80 carries, 446 yd, 12 TD in 2011) and Jordan Braden, who makes the switch from wide receiver after catching 27 passes for 318 yards and 3 TD in 2011.  Fullback Eric Munoz (1st team all district) will also be counted on to contribute.  Wide receivers DeQuann Ruffin (1st team all district, 25 catches, 431 yd, 4 TD), Gregory Hogan (2nd team all district, 27 catches, 492 yd, 4 TD) and Torrey Johnson (25 catches, 451 yd, 4 TD) will lead the Summer Creek receiver unit.

Summer Creek will open the 2012 by hosting South Houston on August 31st.  New Caney comes in to be the first 19-4A district opponent for the Bulldogs.  They will have a showdown in Dayton on November 9th to close the district schedule.

No doubt, those are good stats for back-ups. Now I'm really looking forward to this season. This could be the year 19-4A goes 3-4 or 4-4 in Bi-District against our neighbors to the East.

I heard the ladies pretty big over that way, but don't start writing those checks that those big BUTTS can't cash !!!!!! I'm trying to keeps these dogs on a leash over here, but ya'll making it real hard with all this lip smacking. We eating nothing but PONY meat and gunpowder, and bench pressing john deere tractors over here on the beltway...............
