However, in 2011 there will be a little bit of old and a little bit of new. The new is that there will be a new coach patroling the Pirate sidelines. The old is that it will a familiar face in the person of former assistant Chip Keel. He will be joined in the Pirate backfield by senior running back Nate Jones (2nd team all district in 2011) and sophomore Javonte Green. Senior receiver Tyler Schlittenhardt and Tyrese Bogany will form the receiver corp. Senior tackles Tyler Kolek and Phillip Holden will team with center Arthur Maxwell to lead the Shepherd offensive line which should also include Kevin Keasliing. [size=14pt][b][u]2012 Defense[/u][/b][/size][size=12pt][b]Defense: SplitReturning starters: 8[/b]Kolek and Holden are amongst the eight returning starters for Shepherd and will lead the Pirate offensive line. Linebackers Omar Salinas and A.J. Box will lead the Shepherd linebackers. Everitt and strong safety Hunter Richey will anchor a Pirate secondary that will likely also include Gilberto Romero, Felix Gonzalez and Eric Gonzalez.
