PNGDAD
I was just watching team handball and it looks like it would be a great game to watch. My daughter said since they took out softball maybe she could learn handball and still go to Olympics.

Monkeynuts
Why has baseball been voted down as an olympic sport and badminton/hand ball/10M pellet gun shooting are considered olympic sports? Someone please explain to me why baseball got the axe? Lots of countries it is the #2 sport of choice.

The first is because the IOC was mad that MLB did not allow their players to compete at the olympics. The second is that baseball has practically no presence in Europe, which is where the HQ of the IOC is. People in Europe don't understand or view baseball positively so it's easy for them to vote it out.
Monkeynuts
Thanks Falcon- sounds like the European countries have to much power on the voting.
