BADSANTA
When is the next time this will take place? Are there any local schools on the edge of going up or down? Example Kountze to 1A or HJ to 2A?
AggiesAreWe
The state just had it's biannual realignment this past February. The next realignment will not be until Feb. of 2014 for the school years of 2014-2015 and 2015-2016.Kountze nor HJ are in jeopardy of dropping down. The basketball districts from this recent realignment (for the years 2012-13 and 2013-14) are posted above in a sticky. AggiesAreWe
Hardin-Jefferson has a 570 enrollment. They are the 4th largest school in 21-3A. HF, Orangefield and Buna are smaller than HJ.Kountze has an enrollment of 393 and is the 2nd largest school in their Division I football district. Kirbyville is the only school larger than them and Kirbyville just dropped down to 2A this coming season.Like I said, neither school is in fear of dropping down. For HJ to drop down to 2A they would have to lose at minimum 140 students, which would be 25% of their total enrollment. That ain't happening. Kountze would have to lose at least 190 or more students, about 48% of their total enrollment. That certainly will not happen.HJ will be 3A and Kountze will be 2A for quite some time.BTW, just what are you fishing for? ;) ::)

MBaller#1
Silsbee will never back down to anyone 5a or even 6a in that ever happens is the tigers get to meet Yates that will help the program tremendously Joe Sigler has never had a problem with playing the big boys, its is kind of messed up that Yates would fall to 3a when Silsbee has its best chance to win a championship but to be the best you have to play the best and Silsbee is not afraid of Yates ,Houston Jones or any of them . And don't forget I watched Silsbee play Wichita falls rider and the only way that team beat Silsbee was because the reffs put rider on the line 34 times to Silsbee 7 times and rider was 15 deep and had 2 6'9s , 6'8s and 6'6s they beat Silsbee by 5 but they gave the tigers a lot of respect that night. BADSANTA
I'm almost sick of people huggin on Yates acorns! They lost to Kimball last year because they have zero fundamentals. They do have size and speed. They shoot free throws like a team full of Shaq's and Dwight Howards. Any given night a upset can take place!
