WOSgrad
Here are the details as I know them:On July 3rd, Drew Humberson, the 10 year old son of Vidor varsity assistant football and baseball coach Rex Humberson was involved in an accident. Drew's injuries were severe enough that he had to be life flighted to Galveston, where he stayed in ICU for 8 days. While Drew is now home, he is undergoing rehabilitation for his injuries. To help defray medical expenses, friends of the Humberson family have scheduled a benefit for Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the VFW Hall in Vidor (I believe that address is 710 N. Main St., Vidor, TX 77662). The benefit will start at 10:00 a.m. and last until midnight. There will be barbeque, silent auction, band and drinks. There will also be a washer and horseshoe tournament. All of the area coaches and area football teams have been invited so this may be seeing some of the guys who will be in uniform this fall at the event. AggiesAreWe
FYI, Coach Humberson wants everyone to know that his son has fully recovered from his injuries and is doing just fine. Anyone attending the benefit will see that for themselves. The benefit is to raise money to help with the medical bills that the Humberson's accumulated while their son was hospitalized. Coach Humberson appreciates and is very grateful for any and all help with the benefit and wants to invite all to the benefit but wants to make sure everyone knows that his son is fine and has fully recovered from his injuries.
