Will be the first test for the inexperienced NDNS

Actually the NDN"s have alot of experienced varsity players back. Besides the starters who return you have the boys who had considerable playing time rotating in last year on Varsity. mostly on the D side of the ball.

Should be a good one, interesting to see silsbee. They are returning their starting backfield on offense, should be a good test for us. I am disappointed in png scrimmaging texas city, especially since it is in texas city. Would rather scrimmage memorial, they are a quality team and they are just 5 minutes away. Guess I will be watching the bulldogs and broncos scrimmage if I'm not mistaken, they scrimmage the same day.

I watched Silsbee struggle against Newton last season and then turned around and got shut out by Bridge City. If they continue to run that BS offense, they're not going anywhere. Silsbee seem to have a Stout defensive line similar to what Kirbyville had a few years ago, but their offense sucks. You guys have a huge running back over there and not utilizing him correctly. I tell you what, send him to Kville and watch him run over folks out of the Wing T :)

When is the last time Silsbee beat PNG in football? Like 1992 in the playoffs?
It's not like these two teams have played each other every year for many years, but the last time Silsbee beat PNG was 1994.

Silsbee and PNG have played each other a total of 33 times since 1925. PNG leads the all time series 25-8.

From 1925-1969 these two played a total of 15 games with PNG winning 12 of those 15. They played every year from 1936-47 except '44, with PNG going 9-2 in those games.

These two teams did not play each other for 20 years until 1988 when they were put in the same district. From '88 to present, PNG and Silsbee have played each other 18 times with PNG winning 13, Silsbee 5. These two played every year from '88 to '99, playing each other twice in the same season in the year's '92 and '99. PNG was 9-5 in those 14 games played.

These two have only played 4 times since '99 and just twice since Silsbee dropped to 3A in '04. PNG currently has a 10 game win streak over Silsbee.
Yes and also the struggling tigers as he say's. Played KV at the begining of the year last year.  And the Tigers total yards were nearly 500.  And KV's total yards were a whopping grand total of 45.

Let's clarify one thing, it was a scrimmage, not a game.

Not sure about the yard totals though. Hard to keep up with that sort of thing in a controlled scrimmage.

AAW, Here is what you posted from last year
You are right it was only a scrimmage

Kirbyville

rushing    34/ 15 yards
passing  3-16  30 yards

Silsbee

rushing  30/  108 yards
passing  11-20  290 yards  4 TD's

Kirbyville needs to worry about their BS offense or lack there of. ;)

My PN-G football history is a little fuzzy, but I believe the first game of PN-G (then just PN) football ever played was against Silsbee in 1925. I think PN-G won it, 7-0.
