Trocket Posted August 28, 2012 Report Posted August 28, 2012 Ned fans are mighty quiet, could that mean there's a storm coming? ;D ;D ;
outanup Posted August 28, 2012 Report Posted August 28, 2012
It will be interesting to see what Crosby does on offense because they were about as plain vanilla as you can be in those 2 scrimmages. Nederland is the clear favorite because they are picked to run the table in 20-4A with 16 starters back. When was the last time someone actually beat Nederland at home?
Hate to say it but.....the ant mound beat us last year at home. :( :( :(
baddog Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 Well, Ned has "lost" both scrimmages, so we know there is no hope. ::)
dawgnut Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 No worries, we always did like being the underdog!
Cougtalk Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012
Nederland 42 Crosby 38
no way this happens.
Cougtalk Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012
The twins are in the same grade as my son and I have watched us play them since 7th grade. Yes they are fast, yes they are elusive, and yes they will make a lot of linebackers look silly. They can though, be contained and stopped. Now saying that, I am picking them in a 21 to 14 win over Ned. and BTW Ned. didnt BH beat yall last year?????
Sure if your dawson or manvel.... the cougars turn the ball over they lose, don't turn the ball over they win. period.

Wade Duke scored the winning touchdown on BH's possession in OT. Nederland was the most physical team we played last yr. If their DL is as good as last yr. they could make it interesting. However I just think the twins are too fast to contain. Crosby wins this one.
liltex Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 My observation is Crosby will put up points, can Ned's D keep em in it till the O gets to clicking?I picked the Dawgs, think they'll win w/Crosby miscues ;)

How have you been?
bh89-2 Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 The single one and only bright spot I saw on the Nederland team was the D-Lineman (#70 or 72 I think?). He's a big fast kid who should be a top lineman in the area come the end of season. Nice guy to have. OK, that's my one positive post for the season (sort of positive I guess, kind of like sweet and sour) ;)
bh15 Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012
Nederland wins by a field goal!
Now you just jinxed the fg kicker! Probably said the same thing last yr. against BH in OT.

biaplayer Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 Think nederland will have their hands full. It may come down to a fieldgoal nodoubt. Curious to see how ned s defense does now that it is a game and not a practice!

They play as good as they should play and Nederland will be hard to beat. Injury bug here or there and who knows. I like what I hear about letting the QB run. Nederland really should be good on defense, very solid. Only reason I dont pick it to be bigger margin is the offense is still findings its grove.
cooligan Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 One thing is for sure, it won't be the same D that played in Dayton. Unfortunately, the Crosby coaches know that. I heard them talking about certain players that weren't suited last week. It should be exciting.

Lions#80 Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 Those twins are really good, but with a new coach and Nederland bringing back so much, I'll have to stay with Ned.Nederland 24Crosby 14
dawgnut Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 Because of injuries our tight end was playing on the inside positions of the offense most of the night he wore #70 because of that move. He will play tight end and d-line most of the year.
phunter308 Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 Nederlands Defensive 4 Horsemen are back together up front as well as most of starting D. The offense line is revamped and looked solid with some interesting changes. If they do thier jobs it should be a good night. Nederland 24-14.
Michele Posted August 31, 2012 Author Report Posted August 31, 2012 I agree...I think the offense is still working out their timing. Bulldogs still get the win. GO DOGS!!!!!
dogbite Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 So who's out for the game tonight from nederland?
