we did, too BG...Nederland had a very mediocre regular season at 7-3...we lost our district opener to Vidor when our QB went down and if I recall, took a beating from Lincoln...the team got healthy at the right time and got hot in the playoffs and went on the win Region 3...fun season

NOTHING IS SET IN STONE BUT AT LEAST 4 TEAMS IN 20-4A WILL BE COMPETETIVE.
LOOK FOR SOME WARS IN THAT DISTRICT.

There were several STRONG teams last year....how many districts do you know of that sent 4 teams to the playoffs, and 3 of the teams 3-4 rounds deep in the playoffs??!!  I think WE ALL have something to be proud of!!!  GO PIRATES!!

Certainly have a target on their backs,overrated possibly but who cares as long as you do your very best.Finishing is the deal and gets you noticed by pollsters/media.Example:2010 LaMarq team just gets the 4th place spot from other teams wins in a tie-breaker-then they march to Jerry world title gm.and play well vs.Aledo just a tad to much Bishop/Gray & a WR that caught everything anywhere close.Ned should do well 8) ;)

Trust me when I say no one on that field in Nederland is over confident but humble. They are hungry just like every other team out there. The  2011 Dogs set a good foundation that this team can build upon. They may not win every game but they will play their hearts out for each other because they believe in each other and they want to win for each other.

The 2001 team went 8-2 in Regular Season losing to Vidor 10-8 and PA Lincoln 42-8. Went 3-1 in playoffs losing to Smithson Valley in the State Semi's.
THe 2000 team went 9-1 in regular season losing to WOS who lost in state final. Dogs lost to BAy CIty 7-0 in the astrodome. And BAy City rolled to a state title.

I think Neds D will be very strong.  I'm just not sure about their fire power on offense.  Sure, they have a three year starter at QB but what does he have to work with?
